On March 20th and March 21st, Threads, a University of North Carolina at Greensboro Organization Under the Consumer, Apparel, and Retial Studies Department, was able to put together a tremendous fashion show. The show was called Ecouture and presented at the CVA Gallery Cultural Arts Center in downtown Greensboro NC.The show had three segments which represented a sustainable fashion.
Segment 1: Recycling
Segment 2: Vintage Revamping
Segment 3: Natural Fibers
There was also live music performed by the Sibling Project, and hair and make up done by Kyle and Sarah Britt.
Both Krystal and I were able to design and model for the fashion show. We had a blast staying involved and it is something that we would also love to do again.
Also, I just had to give a shout outs to all the Thread Officers: Noelle Crist, Rebekah Bailey, Kerrie Rogers, Megan Daugherty, Samantha Gardner, Angela Fate, Christina Anyanwu, Caroline Sulatycki, and Valerie Faision for making all of this happen. And also to all the Thread student members and especially Professor Minita Sanghvi and Professor Victoria Brown who are such great advisor's.
